What if you could launch a new lift at your favorite mountain? Say, for instance, you owned the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and wanted to upgrade the popular Thunder fixed-grip quad. Guests are seeking a faster ride but wind is an issue and you don’t want to overcrowd the storied Amphitheater and legendary Laramie Bowl. The neighbors to the north are going D-Line but the media facade doesn’t quite fit in with the Teton landscape. With Doppelmayr’s latest generation ropeway configurator, part of Doppelmayr Interactive, anyone with a computer can visualize the lift of their dreams. For Thunder, I came up with a modest capacity D-Line six place in gray and red.
I spent way too much time testing out other hypotheticals on the new version tonight. Another one: Arizona Snowbowl is considering Doppelmayr for its new base-to-summit combination lift. With the configurator, owner James Coleman could customize D-Line and non D-Line versions of six-passenger chairs and 10-passenger gondola cabins from anywhere. My mock up includes galvanized D-Line bubble chairs and and Omega cabins in Snowbowl blue. You can create whatever you like and then take a zoomable 360-degree spin.
Last one: say a group of investors finally fronts the money to purchase the beautiful Saddleback Mountain in Maine and wants to build a signature lift to replace Rangeley up the heart of the mountain. No D-Line this time, simply a modern take on classic green and gray for a new UNI-G six-pack launching in late 2019. If only it was this easy!
Just like a real lift, the possibilities are endless. Models now available to customize are 6E98 & 6DCD chairs, CWA Omega IV-8 LWI & Omega IV-10 SI D cabins, and UNI-G, UNI-G Vision, D-Line R1 & D-Line R2 stations. You can even upload background images and logos to customize your dream lift with any colors in the RAL spectrum. For those with access to the Doppelmayr customer service portal, your existing account works to save and send your creations. Pretty darn cool!

I’ve made a few projects within the last hour, including a what I would like to see replace the Barker Mountain Express at SR and what I think a Sugarloaf SuperSix could look like.

I made a Barker bubble 6 with red UNI-G terminals and alternating black and red seat 6E98 chairs.
For Sugarloaf I made both UNI-G and D-Line versions of a base to summit gondola. Dark blue everything. That IMO is needed more than a Super6. The best terrain shouldn’t require two lifts to lap every time.

I have created many things. I read hundreds of pages of legal documents today on the master plans of all most of the vail resorts. I found out that independence superchair got approved for a mid-way unload. I am hyped for possibility’s. TIME MOVE TO SLOW LOL! I want a carrier a in lift manufacturing. I can’t wait. Your website is very helpful. I Have been obsessed since I was 7. I Really want Breckenridge to get upgrades. I even created a map of what Breckenridge would look like if they used all the way to their SUP boundary. I also bought Doppelmayr model chairlifts. Keystone, beaver creek, vail, and Arapohe basin have me hype too. I am also hyped about the D-class gondolas coming to Disney world. I do have one thing though. Do you think Breckenridge should have upgraded the Colorado to a 8-CLD? Also what does it mean when it said that they we going to upgrade outback express capacity at keystone??? Lastly what does monocable mean??

Monocable contrasts with bicable and tricable gondolas. These have one and two other ropes, respectively, that are fixed in place. The grips on the cabins are fixed with wheels, so that the other ropes can support their weight. Modern bicables are extremely rare nowadays, and I know of no such installations in North America. Tricable gondolas are much newer than the other two (First installation: L’Olymique at Val d’Isère, 2002), and function more similar to the idea of a complete circuit tram.

The logo selection is not working for me. I want to build a new Sugarbush 8 passenger UNI-G gondola to the summit to replace heavens gate. Can someone give me some help on the logo selection?

I also haven’t been able to figure out how the logo works. Luckily I would much rather have a bubble chair instead in most cases.

What’s changed? I’ve messed with this before, but it seems the same to me.
Also: They should make a downloadable one for configuring in more detail: combined/double loading terminals, tower types, midstations (types as well: D line, Uni G, Uni-G vision, Park City style minimalist, and maybe you could even run it on a preconfigured slope!)
Also, why is Uni G vision so rare in the united states? I know it is available, since Keystone had one.

They really need to let you put chairs and cabins you’ve configured into terminals. Also allowing you to change the glass color would be cool
