Is the Berry Family trying to lure a big ski corp to bite and get a better payday? Why do they keep stringing potential suitors along only to fall through? Seems like a waste, the infrastructure is only going to degrade faster with non-use.

Regarding the Sea World sky ride- From the article:
The park said Skyride’s manufacturer and state officials spent months in in a detailed inspection of the ride towers, gondolas, ride cables, grips, hangers, sheaves and drive motors. The communication cable was replaced and the ride went through extensive operational testing.
Would it still be Von Roll, or Doppelmayr?

It would be Doppelmayr as they acquired all of Von Roll’s tramway holdings in the mid 90s, I believe they offer some support.
