Mt Bachelors Skyliner chair has been closed for a few days because of a “mechanical issue” that requires some spare parts that have been sent for. That chair is the only way for visitors in the Skyliner parking lot to access the mountain which effectively closes that parking lot during the holidays.
Hey guys. Super random question but when Yan detachables had to be replaced by other companies or upgraded by them, would we say that lift is new to the year it was upgraded? Or is it still considered the date the original Yan lift was installed? AKA J1 at June Mountain, is it more likely a 1986 or 1996 HSQ? Because if it’s more like 1986, it’s almost due for an upgrade. Thanks!
Likely depends on how much work was done. Most of the currently running lifts have basically new terminal and line equipment and are just using the Yan towers… those i would consider to be dated to their renovation (96). In cases where they just changed out what was needed (ex. Pol-X, etc.) I would consider that to stay on the original date… I would consider that to stay with the original installation date… though I think most or all those cases have been re-upgraded or replaced entirely in the 25yrs since the end of Yan.
