The replacement is Windham’s old F-Lift. Part of the chairs already went to Lift 5. I’m surprised they’re planning to reinstall such a long lift on such a short route. It seems like replacing Lift 2 with the Windham lift would be better.
This replacement was to be done long ago and got pushed back this past summer, this season being the 1st for the new chairs on Lift 5 featuring footrests.
Installing the triple definitely makes more sense here rather than Lift 2, in terms of traffic. On weekends, this lift, serving the beginner area, can sometimes see massive lines stretching all the way back to the main lodge, whereas Lift 2 never sees much traffic. Due to this reason, Lift 2 is likely to stay for another good while, despite it’s age, unless something else more serious happens to that lift itself
