This very unique lift was the first quad chair in New England.Borvig drive terminal straight out of the ’70s.Monster counterweight. There are three towers just to get to the loading point.Split tower.View up the line with closely spaced towers.Top terminal.Circa 2001, center pole quad chairs were swapped for triple chairs.Looking down the line.Upper station overview.Upper part of the lift line.Lower lift line.
I’m glad to see the lift not go to waste but I can’t see how the management could justify the costs of refurbishing this vs. how much it is needed. The terrain on that part of the mountain is rarely open and there aren’t enough skiers there to ever justify running it.
This lift is scheduled to be refurbished and brought back to service in the future.
