Peter, are you planning to take pictures of Mt. Washington on Vancouver Island, during the #LiftBlogBCRoadTrip? The lifts there seem really interesting. Perhaps you could also visit Mt. Cain, BC and Shames Mountain, BC. Do you have a preliminary BC road trip itinerary?

      Hi Thomas,
I’m in Seattle visiting family (that’s where I am from originally) and just went up to Cypress for a day this week. I am hoping to ski and take lift photos this winter at Apex, Big White, Kimberley, Red, Silver Star and Whitewater. There are so many smaller areas in BC that I would love to get to and Mt. Washington is high on that list. I was just looking at their map yesterday and it appears the Green chair and Platter have been removed.

Yeah, the Boomerang Chair is really badass.

Big White posts most of the information you need to fill out the spreadsheet on their website. There are still a couple things you would have to get but it could save you some time.

Better yet, I plan to get to Big White this winter for photos and the spreadsheet. Stay tuned.

If you are in that area you ought to visit Mt Baldy, try for a Thursday as it is closed T-W, another throwback area, two fixed grip chairs and the original 1968 daylodge.

If you ever go to Mt Washington, There is 2 more ski resorts on vancouver island. Mt cain is the last Co-Op ski resort left in bc with 2 T-bars. Another ski resort is actually home to 3 abandoned GMD Mueller lifts. 2 T-bars and 1 CP double.
