State of New York makes it nearly impossible for the ORDA resorts to sell on equipment as they have to get Albany’s approval and then auction the goods with a minimum number of bids (I think three). The resort has a Hall double in the boneyard that is slowly being buried for much the same reason.
Vons3 is incorrect because ORDA has sold off quite a bit of used equipment. They’ve sold groomers, snow guns, chairs, among other things, but to my knowledge never a complete lift. Plattekill has chairs from the Mixing Bowl and Bear lifts on their Hall double. They may have also purchased some snow guns. West Mountain has purchased used groomers and snow guns from ORDA.
As for the lift in the boneyard, it’s not actually a complete lift. There are no towers. It was the Mid Station Shuttle Double, half of a tandem lift. The other half went to Gore as the Topridge Triple, with used Hall and Riblet tower tubes, and some new parts from CTEC. Since they no longer had the other side, the tandem towers were scrapped. I’m not sure if any of this is still there, but as of October 2018, they had a motor room enclosure, a bullwheel, some sheave trains, and a whole bunch of chairs still in the boneyard. It’s been a parts donor for all the other Hall lifts at Whiteface. Chair seats and sheaves have clearly been removed for use elsewhere.
At one point in the early 2000’s, this lift had its chairs painted yellow, pink, green, and blue. The towers might have also been painted but I’m not sure.
Looks like a nice Riblet. Hoping it is relocated somewhere out West.

I don’t get the point of that. That lift looks like after a quick refurbish it could be good as new.
