They are, actually. Originally Riblets had no cable catchers on their assemblies and that was how the bails looked. When they started making cable catchers standard, they had to increase the length of the shank on the clip, and thus were able to make the bails straight rather than angled (which was necessary to clear the sheave axles in the original configurations). When it became ‘standard’ (to use your phrasing) to have cable catchers, most ski areas opted to keep the original hangers and modify them instead. In most cases that meant adding a spacer to make up the additional length. I can’t tell from these photos if that’s what Mission did but that’s my experience.
I don’t think those hangers are the standard center-pole Riblet hangers.

Which one? There’s at least two styles on this chair. Also, as a bike mechanic, I hafta ask what is “standard”?

In old pictures of Blue at MHM it appears to have the angled bail but it currently has the straight bail, do you think they replaced it?
