I believe this also was a relocated lift. Unsure of where it was previously installed.

I skied here today and the head of lift ops said that they are supposedly going to replace this and disciples II with one used hsq from fellow boyne resort Brighton. They would run it in between the 2. I wonder what lift from Brighton it will be. Probably one of the highest used lift at Brighton with 6 or 8. Peter was just there, he might know.

If I were to guess it would be Crest Express. Turning Crest into a six-pack would be a nice upgrade at Brighton.

I hope so, disciples 1 is really slow for it’s size and 2 is never open

This and Disciples II are being replaced by a high speed 8 next summer, the first in the Midwest and third in America. I can’t say I expected this but it’s super exciting!

Along with building a new lift they’re building a bridge to nowhere that is a complete waste of money should be used to improve the Resort in other areas

From what I understand the bridge is primarily for summer use and is being built to provide more activities up on the hill in the summertime.

This is actually almost identical to a bridge Boyne built at their scenic lift in Gatlinburg a few years ago, which must have been a hit considering they are building one here.

Boyne Mountain has put a lot of focus into non skiing activities, with a huge golf course, indoor Waterpark and arcade, aswell as the usuals like Ziplining and tubing. From thar perspective the bridge makes alot of sense and it looks pretty sweet!

Could this possibly be one of Boyne’s Riblet triples from 1963, that was just relocated from a different part of the mountain? BH installed 2 Riblet triples in 63 and I’m assuming the other one is likely Thunder. The terminals and towers on this one seem to fit the era…

The two 1963 triples were relocated to become Valley and Interconnect at Highlands. This style of tower was produced from 1965 through the 1980s and has shown up on some Riblets from the 90s as well. If I were to take a guess as to the origins of this lift, I would guess it came from Schuss Mountain’s (now Shanty Creek) blue triple which was removed in 1997. The spreadsheet lists this lift having been installed in 1996 but the first trail map this lift shows up on is from 1997 so the timeline would match up. Judging by terminal and sheave design, this lift is from the 1960s and Blue lift at Schuss mountain was a 1968 installation.
