Despite being at a small ski area, this double chair is actually quite long and interesting.Bottom terminal and gearbox.Portal tower at the load point.A Borvig early model chair.Middle station with unloading. The profile is flat for awhile.Tower 13.View back down the line.Arriving up top. This looks to be a completely new return terminal by Partek.View down from the summit.Side view of the return terminal, which is much larger than the drive.Skiers have to go around the top terminal to get to the main run.Upper part of the line. The first unloading ramp.Lower part of the line.Tower 7.View down.Tower 4.
This terminal was installed in 2011 to replace the original counterweight terminal. The tension terminal was always up top due to the space limitations in the base area. This is a pic of the old terminal.
I wonder why they used a Partek drive frame instead of an under-the-bullwheel return. I have to imagine the latter is less space-consuming and cheaper
