Why are the chairs on this lift so far apart? This is the only lift at Attitash where I need to wait in a considerable line. Also, hope vail will re-paint the terminals on Flying Bear and Flying Yankee blue again. Peak painted everything black when blue is really Attitash’s color. Love this mountain but Peak ran it into the ground!
Bear Peak was modeled after Jordan Bowl at Sunday River. The initial capacity on the Jordan Bowl Express / Lift 14 at SR was 2100 riders/hr with a complete system capacity of 3000 r/h. JBX had chairs added to it a few years later as more terrain opened near the lift. I think the intention was similar with Bear Peak. The initial capacity was 1800 r/h, but more chairs were never added. LBO also did the same thing at Cranmore and Sugarbush. Cranmore’s detachable quad has a design capacity of 3000 r/h but was never given its full compliment of chairs (it only has enough chairs for 2000 r/h).
Bear Peak gets skied off quick, especially Morning Star being the primary way back to the Attitash side. So I do not think an increase in chairs and capacity would serve Bear Peak well. I went to Attitash multiple days over holiday periods this year and the Flying Bear lines were manageable. Sometimes they were running it really slow though which was disappointing. I also really hope Vail repaints Flying Bear and Yankee blue again. Attitash really needs some TLC after being neglected by Peak for so long.
i think this a spacejet terminal

I think this is a first generation (1995 version) Uni-M bottom tensioned return and a first generation (1995 version) Uni-S top fixed drive.

Another typo, I think the second to last pic is supposed to say downhill side, not uphill
