Coeur Wharf Express – Terry Peak, SD

This is the third top-drive detachable to terminate on Terry Peak.
Top station unloading.
Doppelmayr Uni-G drive station.
CTEC-style operator house.
Breakover towers.
Top few towers.
View down the lift line.
Another view of the line and EJ chairs.
Looking up towards the Peak.
This lift has Agamatic grips while the other two have DTs.
Another look up the line.
Steep first section of the line.
Note the blankets to protect the terminal during blasting at the neighboring mine.
Side view of the return tension terminal.
Loading zone and operator house.
There used to be another mountain behind the lift terminal!

Reclamation of the Warf mine at Gold Corp Express is scheduled to be underway…once completed, the Gold Corp Express lift will be extended another 300 vertical feet down make Terry Peak’s total lift served vert to 1400. Currently it is unclear of the Gold Corp Express is in use in 2017-2018 season. It may only be open on weekends. I am skiing Terry this season. I will be curious to see the changes. There is a doc here that illustrates the operation…

Any particular reason as to why it isn’t running this season?

I just asked on Facebook and they replied promptly. “Due to the recent snow, we are looking at opening it hopefully soon. Keep posted to our website for more information.”

Interesting how the bars are the new child friendly ones but the lift was built in 2012. Did it get new chairs?

These bars have been around since 2011.
