The old top was steeper, challenging for novices. And there was very limited space at the old top, so it would have gotten overcrowded with sitting snowboarders and groups chatting with the added capacity.

This lift is great for beginners but it can be upgraded during summer to high speed like AZ gondola or Grand Canyon express
