That is not a common drive terminal. It’s like a Gemini motor room on an Enterprise frame.

Should they replace this with a DC4? Peter mentioned it in the Aspen Lift Shopping” article.

To be honest, I do not believe this lift is long enough to warrant a detachable, although I do believe it could use the capacity of a quad. An interesting and low-cost solution could be to move Exhibition over here from Squaw, as it is an underutilized quad with a similar profile.

From my experience I don’t think it warrants any replacement, it does not serve too many more runs than Scott and I have never seen it get super crowded. It tends to get a bit crowded before lunch but most of the time it is pretty open.

To me, the lifts at alpine that need a capacity boost the most would be Scott and Sherwood. Scott can get pretty packed on weekends and tends to be that way most of the time, it mostly should just be upgraded to a high capacity quad. Sherwood does not need replacement but it really should get a capacity boost considering that with Treeline in place it is much easier to get over there, Sherwood got lines even before that.

Lakeview had all of it’s original chairs replaced with the chairs from Hot Wheels in fall of 2020. The old chairs were auctioned off to raise money for the Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Foundation. It’s likely the chairs from Hot Wheels were in better condition since they were in a less weather exposed location.

they had already seemingly replaced some of the chairs before because some of them were unpainted and had different mountings to the hangar arms.
