This is the only detachable here with a normal-length ride time, with the other 2 having ride times of under 3 minutes. It is also the only lift to have footrests, at least as of when I last went here 2 years ago
Because it was Garaventa CTEC, you had the option. When we planned the new quads at Baker in the early 2000s we specced the Garaventa carriers because they’re easier to stuff kids on than the CTEC carriers, due to the Garaventa bail being swept back out of the way.
I was just at Corralco in Chile, talking with their GM there, they purchased this quad and will be installing it at Corralco this summer. It is going to replace their upper double chair Volcan. In turn they are moving Volcan to go from the base of it’s old base up to the middle of the Navidad poma so it can operate on windy days.

Why did the use the “Garaventa-style” chair on this lift? Most of the lift that are similar to this one have the rounder CTEC style chairs.

According to a recent Storm Skiing Podcast, this lift is likely headed to South America.
