    Why don’t they upgrade more of their lifts to detachables? They all seem in need of an upgrade.

      1. Cost
      2. Limited demand
      3. North American is the only line long enough to warrant a detachable

      This and the Zephyr Express were the prototypes for the Challenger terminal:

      1990 was a transition year, since that was also the last year of the Competition terminals, which appeared that year on the Beaver Run SuperChair and North Ridge Express.

      These Challenger terminals were prototypes, so could only attain top speeds of around 800 fpm. They were refined for the 1991 season with the High Lonesome Express…

      ..and a full length version designed for 1,000 fpm operation debuted in 1992:
