I found a few photos of Horseshoe Resort’s old 1989 Atomic Express sitting in a Quebec lot.

Yah this lift is for sale but its too short to be useful as anything other than a beginner chair as its only 300ft vert and 1550ft long.

Peter hasn’t made it up there yet. There’s a lot resorts in NA and it’s time consuming and expensive to visit them all.

The only 6-CLF in NA I believe!

It is! It’s built by Leitner (which just prior absorbed BM lifts, a local manufacturer) and is kitted out with a loading carpet. It runs at 300 fpm anyways – and because it serves a beginner hill – it stops/slows quite frequently. Very annoying to ride…

In 1997 (or 1998, I forget) the first ever POMA 6-packs in North America were built here. One at Blue Mountain and another at Mount St. Louis Moonstone. They make use of a wide version of the second generation Challenger terminals and a variant of the Omega chair seen only in Europe – these are the only lifts of their kind in North America. There’s also a rare Leitner HSQ at Georgian Peaks and a CTEC HSQ at an adjacent club. Combined with the 6-CLF at Snow Valley, this is quite a cool province for lifts and I’m glad I grew up with them all.

Craigleith has the CTEC high speed quad and a fixed grip quad (also CTEC) with a similar drive terminal to the now replaced Yodeler quad at Holiday Valley.

Is there some truth to the Letterkenny Ontario/Cue-beck rivalry? It seems like there’s a whole lotta not-Doppelmayr goin’ on in this here province.
