    A common misconception is that this lift has a Borvig drive pod, however this is incorrect. Mechanically, the bottom terminal is exactly the same as it was from 1981 until 1992 when it was located at South Ridge (where the South Ridge Express runs today). The motor room was made in-house at Sunday River to resemble those found on the fleet mid 1980s Borvigs at Sunday River at the time (all but one of which have been removed). The geometry of the motor room is totally different, but it’s a pretty good replica!
