I’m really hoping the Vail acquisition means a new color scheme. It’s not in this picture but the current color scheme is now this ugly tan brown and orange mix that they used on Jupiter, and they’ve repainted just about every lift and building on the mountain to match it. I did see that 7th Heaven got a new operator shack this summer that’s in a different style, so here’s hoping they’ll start using that style for some of the newer installs. Looks much nicer than the current scheme they’ve got.

They’re going with the orange and tan paint job here.

Skyline Express replaced an old Riblet double which ran on an alignment somewhat to skier’s right of the current chair. The double, in turn, replaced a T-bar which was built in 1953. The old double had an unload-only mid-station about 1/3 of the way up which was seldom open. When I started skiing there in the 1960’s there was an old rope to off to the right of the mid-station (in what is now the terrain park), but I don’t recall seeing it in operation. Someone told me it was moved over from the Showcase slopes when what’s now called Kehr’s Chair replaced a bunch of rope tows.

I believe you mean Brooks Express, but nevertheless cool! :)

I’d say the bottom terminal is about between where towers 2 and 3 were originally.

This lift feels way faster than standard 1000 fpm detachables. Hogsback feels the same way
