Sugar – Mountain Creek, NJ

Doppelmayr did not build all of the many new lifts at Mountain Creek in 1998. This one was constructed by Borvig, whose headquarters is just down the road.

Why did Partek build this lift while every other lift built in 1998 was a Doppelmayr?

Probably for cost savings and/or parts commonality with Vernon and Sojourn lifts. All the FGs at Creek have been Borvig/Partek, except for Granite which was meant to be converted to an HSQ although it never happened.
