This past winter, there have been rumors going around the mountain that vail wants to remove this lift and possibly not replace it. I hope they choose to keep it or at least replace it directly, as it is a cool lift and is the last non-carpet surface lift on the mountain since the last remaining Poma on the mountain was replaced in 2010 with a magic carpet.

According to, this may have come from Hunter Mountain, NY as the T-1 T-Bar, Running with the now removed Broadway Double.

A couple of things; this is a Poma T-bar, not a platter. Also does anyone know what the yellow and black rope is for at the top? I’m assuming its to reduce swinging from the floating bullwheel as they do throw the carriers around a lot.

Correct- it looks similar to the guidage on our C-lift, a Poma fixed platter with the same floating bullwheel.
