Why was this chair removed? What will happen to it? Hope it will find a good home. I think she’s still got some life left in her.

It was scrapped. Chairs were sold to passholders.

Attitash should name the summit triple replacement the “top notch express quad”

Are there plans to replace Summit Triple? Latest I read is it’s getting a new drive system, as its been having operating/electrical trouble this year.

I wonder if removing the top notch double unleashed a curse on the summit triple?

Aww… This was one of my favorites. It just stuck out as such an oddity, with the tiny drive station serving such a long lift, the top half of the line buried in the trees, and the massive hunk of steel that was the tension/return station. Sad to see it go!

I know it’s sad I’m staying in condos on the mountain and I just look down and I see top notch isn’t there it makes me sad 😥

I know exactly how you feel, especially when thinking about the Tram II replacement at Cannon Mountain. At least it is still operating for now, which means dangling 100+ meters in the air on a regular basis in wintertime.

And it’s better to be sad that Top Notch is gone than to think, “‘Wow! This is so old, and just because of that, it needs to go!'” Still, if only it had gotten a new home other than the Smuggs parts bin.
