This lift was added in the early 2000s primarily to provide ski-in/ski-out access to a bunch of homesites.
I have no idea where this lift came from but it wasn’t original to any of the Boyne Michigan resorts.
It isn’t Gad 1, and it predates any other doubles being removed at Snowbird. Mid Gad was a new install in 1980 alongside Little Cloud, and Gad 1 was extended that year, Mid Gad is not the old Gad 1.

There were 2 lifts called Gad 1 at Snowbird. I think this is the one that got replaced by Gadzoom.

Well, looking at the other Center Pole doubles at snowbird, none of them had lifting frames. Nor were any painted black.

Those lifting frames are unusual they kind of look like the original European dopp ones, I don’t think any other lifts in the US use them.

This came used from a Canadian resort.
