The Avalanche Double is actually a Doppelmayr with a BM Lifts Top Drive.

Hutchinson was built by Doppelmayr, and its replacement is named Founders.

They were center-pole style. I have a theory as to the South Triple’s origins (as the design seems to predate 1983 Doppelmayr designs), but for now here’s a photo showcasing the original triple chairs.

Could it have been one of the triples from Snoaisis, AB?

That’s my thinking. Everything seems to line up well. One of the triples went to Blackstrap, SK. The other one went to an unknown Canadian area.

Interesting to note that at the time of installation, the Magic Carpet on Matt’s Meadow at Beaver Valley was one of the longest Magic carpets ever installed in North America. On Google Earth it is about 500 feet long. Sun Peaks near Kamloops BC now has a Magic Carpet that is 550 feet long (Google Earth measurements)
