This lift replaced a Riblet double in a new alignment ending higher. Two tone top terminal.Monarch drive station.View down the lift line.Flat middle section of the line.Looking up at the second half of the line.Breakover towers.Lower lift line. The first few towers.Lower station.Peak return.View up from the bottom terminal.View up from the bottom terminal.Riding up the line.Skytrac tower head.View from the summit.
We noticed riding this lift this year, tower 2 has pads 3/4 of the way up the tower. Peter captured it in his visit pics… any reason ski patrol would put pads that far up? An extra-extra safe joke? Never seen this before, not that it mattered, it was just really funny riding by it… I mean that would be one giant jump to impact that high up. And nice pic capture on a snow day, Bitterroot looks amazing with all that snow.
Patrol will sometimes use the first tower out of the terminal to store extra padding in case they need to catch a misload who needs to “disembark vertically” from their chair.
