I would definitely like a lift serving that route again in the future, whether it’s the orange gondola or something else, I remember when the Orange chair was removed and miss being able to lap Dave Murray easily.
Why was Orange removed anyway? It was a Murray-Latta so it wouldn’t surprise me if sourcing parts was an issue, but then again I know that there were multiple removed Murray-Lattas on the Whistler side (I know Olive went to Whitewater) so you’d think they’d have had at least a few spare parts.
Were the Yan towers scrapped?

yes. Per aussierob the lift received all new towers.

All of the terminal legs are also brand new because the old legs were reused from the Yan detachable that the Emerald Quad replaced.

I think the uphill capacity on this lift is actually 2,800 pph, not 2,400. Teddy’s video of this lift shows six second spacing between chairs.

I think that catskinner should have been relocated to where Orange chair was. It would have relieved capacity from Big Red too

Murray-Latta still exists and will make you parts if you need. They just don’t build chairlifts any more.

I’ll miss the old triple. One day it was so cold and windy that we skied Catskinner all afternoon to avoid the wind chills from the high speed lifts

I assume that every remaining Yan component got replaced during the relocation.

I think that the rear station masts didn’t get replaced
