This is the original chairlift built at Indianhead in 1961.Old-style Riblet towers and center pole chairs.Middle part of the lift line.Tower 7.Lower part of the line.View up the line, which has a very consistent low intermediate pitch.Lengthy bottom station.Loading area.Counterweight behind the bottom station.The top operator sits on top of the bullwheel!
I have been in the top shack of this lift before and it’s pretty neat, you have a good view of the line. Since this lift services night skiing I end up riding this lift quite a bit.
