This double starts lower and ends higher than a newer quad chair but operates less.View up from the base.Tower 1.Top unloading area.View down from the summit.Side view of the top terminal.Support and hold down towers with different size sheaves.Middle part of the line.Lower lift line.Lift overview.
this lift is currently receiving a new lower drive terminal. I expect the hill to post pictured when it is completed. I was not able to discern whether it was a truly new or used terminal based on their post
The new lower terminal comes from the Snowberry triple lift at Bittersweet, Michigan. I thought it was weird to use a triple terminal for a double lift, but I was told by lift maintenance that they swapped the triple-gauge bullwheel for a double-gauge one.
I believe that the double came used from Spirit Mountain, Minnesota. It was called “D2” (didn’t really have a name I can find) and ran parallel to the Double Jaw double lift (both lifts installed in 1974 and clones of each other). It was removed in 1986 when Spirit built their first high speed quad in that alignment and installed at Crescent during the summer of 1986.
