These chairs are standard doppelmayr 6E98 chairs. They’re typically used in Europe, so might be considered “special” for a North American installation.
However, of all the Doppelmayr lifts installed worldwide in 2000, this is the one of a very limited number to feature the 6E98 chair, and I’m not sure if it was installed at all in 1999. So, the Worldbook entry might just be accounting for the fact that the standard 6-pack carrier in 2000 was still the EJ.

Woldbook entry states that these were “Special chairs.” What chairs are these? They look an awful lot like CTEC chairs.

When this lift was originally built, the chairs had bars with conventional footrests on them. Does anyone have an idea when they got replaced?

It was some time between 2014 and 2017. They put them on a bunch of the beginner chairs around that time.
