A great lift w my fav terrain. Slightly unrelated but there is a lot of erosion on the terrain toward the bottom of the lift where they cut some of those runout areas. Not an expert here but the integrity of the skiing and of the mountain would be better managed if they put some investment into environmental remediation

It looks like new footings are in place between the lift towers. Is this lift going to be replaced next summer?

Is Jersey Cream going to be a D-Line like Fitz or a standard UNI-G, I imagine UNI-G because Vail would go for the cheaper option.

I will not lie, I do think D-Line lifts look good but i’ve always loved the UNI-G terminals. i just think they look better in the right colors lol

Seems to be a gearbox bearing. Not definitive yet.

IDK if this will help but I looked on the mountain cam and there were no chairs on line. Probably has nothing to do with the issue though.

The chairs are removed and the line de-tensioned so we can drop the bullwheel.

Glacier express has been closed for almost 2 weeks due to a gearbox failure.
