Arizona Snowbowl built three lifts between 2015 and 2017. Hart Prarie was the third and replaced a Riblet double in a shorter alignment.Chairs are just six seconds apart. There is a loading carpet.Controls outside at the lower terminal.Arriving at the top terminal. This is a rare Alpen Star drive without tensioning. The summit motor room.View down from tower 12.Tower 8.There is hydraulic tensioning of the bottom bullwheel.View up the lift line.Tower 9.The lower line.T1.
The old top was steeper, challenging for novices. And there was very limited space at the old top, so it would have gotten overcrowded with sitting snowboarders and groups chatting with the added capacity.
Lift gets too busy for what it services. Would recommend just going on aspen if u want beginner terrain and then moving up to the Humphreys chair as it services the best pocket of terrain with many blues that are on the mellow side. If your a beginner and you can handle the aspen lift and your somewhat athletic or intelligent then you can manage some of the blues off humphreys.
Why was it shortened from the original alignment?

This lift is great for beginners but it can be upgraded during summer to high speed like AZ gondola or Grand Canyon express
