    You’re kidding right? Looks like a Hall lift with LST or Doppelmayr carriers.

      Kidding about what? Hall with Doppelmayr Ts is pretty standard.

        Well, you left the manufacturer column on the spreadsheet blank as if you didn’t know the brand of the lift…

    Definitely Doppelmayr Ts. First year of operation that thing broke down repeatedly, some of the sheave trains are slightly jerry-rigged and some even have Riblet sheaves.

    can anyone explain the name? I never knew if it was;

    1. A deliberate misspelling of “Idle Hour”, since this is in an area with many schoolhouse inspired trail names
    2. a weird carryover from the original marketing announcement that would have shown “Idyle, our T-bar” on the trail map with the intention of it soon being simply called “Idyle”
    3. Or it was intentionally & permanently named “Idyle, our T-bar” for a more meaningful name than “The Idyle T-bar “

    anywell, it feels like something got lost over the years. I definitely remember it being referred to as “Idyle, our T-bar” for the first few seasons before it just got naturally shortened.

      The lift is named after a bar my parents owned in Colburn Idaho. The Idyle-Our bar was lost to arson in 1988 I believe, I was only 5 then, so my memory is a little fuzzy there. The coolest part about the bar was that the bar top was laminated with pennies and nickles, and the nickles spelled out “If you cant dazzle em with brilliance, baffle em with bullshit.” They are both pretty happy to see a little piece of local history getting preserved.

      No idea.. it might be worth shooting an e-mail over to Schweitzer and see if they or their lift mechs can figure it out? Would be nice to know.
