This Poma quad chair was relocated from Taos to Bear Valley in 2024.The new lift replaced a 1968 Riblet double. The new lift line is much shorter than it was at Taos.Side view of the bottom terminal.View up the relatively short lift line.Loading area.View riding up.Looking back down the first half of the line.Upper lift line.Hold down tower.Breakovertowers 9 and 10.The drive and return terminals were flipped from bottom to top and vice versa during the relocation.Unloading area and CTEC operator house.Side view of the Alpha drive.View from the summit.Tower 9.Looking down at tower 5.View up at tower 3.Portal tower 1.View back down near the summit. For the first season the old lift’s top terminal remained in place and the new lift ran on generator power.
Whats the point of this being top drive while there is no power at the top. They should have kept it bottom drive.
