It serves as a beginner lift all year and a race lift at the very beginning of the season. Then once Sunny Spruce opens, racers use that lift. Then once Sensation opens (where the “main” race trail is open) racers split themselves between Sunny and Sensation, rarely going back to Meadows.
Thanks, ya I saw that today with main street on hold for racing and a locals race next to sunny Spruce. I was genuinely surprisingly satisfied with the terrain on Spruce. I wish I could have tried out main street!
Main St is a real treat if youre lucky enough to ride it! The racing school essentially has ‘Exclusive Rights’ to that trail. On a big powder dump, provided that all gates have been stripped the day before, the school will confirm they dont intent to train and it opens to the public.
Looking at the trails surrounding it seems like mostly a race lift.
