I agree. It’s not in very bad shape actually since it closed in 2000 January 9

I’m absolutely wrong about how its real condition was. It didn’t look bad, but it had been sitting abandoned for 24 years

Ski Rio once had 2 Poma Triples but Alpha was relocated to Mohawk Mtn and Bravo was relocated to Berkshire East.

Alpha was built in 1982 and has a prototype version of the Alpha terminal. Bravo is a 1982/83 Delta. Reminds me of Lift 1 at Sipapu since it has a Delta terminal as well. Charlie was built in 1959 at Stowe originally as the Mt. Mansfield double. Brought to Ski Rio in 1985/86.

Alpha was purchased used from Deer Park, California. It was originally installed in 1983, but relocated to Ski Rio in 1984.

Does anyone know what happened to the old poma lift that was at Ski Sugarite. It was last seen somewhere on the property in the early 2000s. It was dismantled in 1992 when the property sold. But I have no idea where it could be and what may have happened to it.

In this other shot, the far right has the bottom terminal bullwheel, in the middle, a few tubular towers, and top left, lattice towers

Believe it or not, there were a total of 21 Riblet lifts built in my home state (New Mexico). Here’s the full amount

    Angel Fire – 7

    Ski Apache – 5

    Red River – 4 (1975, 1977, 1979, 1992 (relocated))

(Copper was relocated from another area in 1992, due to 1960s-80s designs, and a vault drive with bullwheel unloading)

    Sandia – 2 (1969 and 1979)

    Pajarito – 2 (1969 and 1975/76)

    Sipapu – 1

(relocated from Alpine Valley, WI. Originally built there in 1986. Sipapu got it in 2001/02)

Ski Santa Fe – 1 (built in 1975)

Ski Rio – 1 (relocated from Stowe, VT. Originally built there in 1959. Built at Ski Rio in 1985)

Cliff’s Amusement Park in Albuquerque used to have a Hopkins skyride until 2002, when they built the New Mexico Rattler, a CCI wooden coaster. The coaster feels like a jackhammer
