This lift was originally the Southface lift on the learning hill, and had the return station on the other side of the Gondola (hence why the gondola has such a closely spaced towers 2 and 3).

This lift originally had double chairs and those sketchy mid late 80s sheaves. I’m sure Steamboat wanted no part in any of those troubling yan parts and retrofitted it with the 70s style sheaves from one of the removed lifts.

I think Donald was correct. The original double chair was replaced with the removed Southface lift.

Here’s the original lift for contrast.

This lift will be removed when Wild Blue goes in with the new learning lifts.

They pulled the chairs off of Preview this morning. Bye bye, Preview.

They took apart the lower terminal yesterday and towers today. With the way they were letting the towers drop instead of lifting them down, it would appear they are not planning on reusing any of the line gear or tower tubes for anything else. Looks like scrap metal. They continue to scrap the mountain coaster and the mountain coaster lodge is gone as is the mini golf course. They are moving right along. Chairs are still on the CPE as of today.
