River Run these days seems like a lift that primarily serves as a means to directly access Lookout Express, since the triples that used to originate next to Lookout are both gone now.
The race team practices there, and it offers a modicum of teaching terrain, both early season before they get enough snow made at Dollar and on the Warm Springs side.
I think that when this lift is due for replacement, Sun Valley should make it a high speed six pack and extend it to the top of Sunnyside, with a mid-unload station for those wanting to transfer to the Lookout Express. This would be done in conjunction with also replacing Lookout Express with a high speed six pack. Such a move would greatly improve the Ketchum face in a number of ways, such as creating one-lift access to Frenchman’s and the Warm Springs face of the hill, and relieving Lookout Express by providing a second lift to lap the terrain below Roundhouse Lane.
An interesting alignment could have the top terminal be at the intersection of Lower College and French Connection. It would allow all passengers, including beginners, to easily go to either Frenchman’s or Lookout Express and make River Run more useful.
I think they should replace this lift with a six pack in a new alignment. I would make it end somewhere around the top of French Connection or French Dip if possible since currently this lift only serves one trail.

It would be nice if this river run lift has bubbles on it too for some extra marketing.

This seems like an amazing idea, however, I don’t think they will do an angle station
