This is a cool idea for a ski area. There should definitely be more expert oriented places.
I would love to ski here but I’m worried about hiking in the altitude (I live at 6000 ft and ski at 6100 – 11100ft).
Eh cuz you live at 6k’ and regularly exercise above 8-9k, you’ll be in the same boat as most Silverton skiers. It feels a bit butt kicking, but there’s really no way around it. The elevation is high but comparable to A-Basin, Loveland, or the upper half and hike-to parts of Telluride.
Palmyra regularly gets hiked to 13,000 feet by Denver residents every season.

Anyone know what happened to Velocity Basin lift? They said they were going to build it in 2023 and then nothing really happened.
