The Skidder beginner lift was one of three lifts operating for Snowhoe’s first season, 1974-75.The chairs were upgraded with CTEC versions at some point.Tower 1.Towers 3 and 4.View down the short lift line.Lift overview.Top bullwheel.
Last time I was up there, I took a few laps on Western with Ski patrol. Apparently, Snowshoe is planning on removing Skidder and realigning Grabhammer to Skidders top terminal.
Not sure if Snowshoe would replace Grabhammer or not, but a fixed grip quad with direct village access would help take the pressure off Ballhooter.
The terrain serviced by Skidder (the learning area) would be serviced by surface lifts.
This lift makes a ticking noise at the bottom that is loud.

Anti-rollback device triggers. You hear them in your sleep after a while, if you operate one of those.

Great lift for beginners. I don’t use it, but I do with my little siblings.
