Solitude – Palisades Tahoe, CA

Top motor room.
Upper part of the lift line.
Breakover towers and the top terminal.
View up the line.
Lower half of the lift.
View down to the return.
Loading area at tower 1.
The reason this lift doesn’t have bullwheel loading is for height adjustability.
Tall bottom bullwheel structure.
Lower station.
View up from the bottom bullwheel.
Looking back down the line.

Why was Solitude closed while you were there? When I was there I saw that it was open most of the time except for wind holds.

The top terminal looks like a CTEC Enterprise terminal lol 🤣

If they upgraded this to a HSQ and made it easier to access from the base of Shirley lake then it would really help alleviate lines at Shirley lake

Shirley doesn’t really offer the best terrain anyway… I think the current alignment is fine how it is. Solitude’s a bit of a hidden gem and having a new lift put in there would draw a lot of attention to it
