If this lift was originally built in 1973 and upgraded to a triple later, What did Yan replace and what is original (if there is anything original still, looks like much of it has been replaced)?
Looks like they replaced the drive terminal and bottom hold-down sheaves, as well as the carriers (obviously). The towers and sheaves are more in line with the early 70s all-steel models. The grips may be original but probably not, as they made two different sizes (Type 1 or Type 2) depending on whether it went on a double or triple. You can’t tell at a glance, you need to be able to see the casting marks.
This chair (49er, YAN lift) replaced #5 and # 6 Riblet chair lifts back in the late 80s, near the old Quick silver chair lift, there is an old upper motor room still standing. You can see old ski maps on (skimaps.org) and all other ski resorts too.
How come this lift is labeled Riblet? I see all Yan components.

Are those sheaves made of aluminum?
