The lift shack kind of reminds me of a skytrac lift shack. Is this a new Doppelmayr lift shack design?

They’ve offered the cube option for awhile with few takers. Beaver Creek’s shacks are actually these with the wooden structure added over top.

This is a nice lift. I have one of the old chairs from Cannonball. This lift looks like it will be used for many years

How did you get access to go up there?

He jumped off the chair, ran past the mechanic brandishing a wrench, and dashed up the ladder, singing pirate songs all the way.

I’m sorry, I get sarcastic at times. He got ahold of area management and secured permission and a guide from lift maintenance, most likely.

Did you get much skiing there at Eldo? Certainly not the best or biggest in the state, but its quite fun, and serves its purpose as a quick and easy place to go to from Boulder fantastically.

Hopefully when they build Jolly Jug they build an access from the sundance lift, as if this lift goes down for wind or mechanical, there is no other way to access the rest of the mountain.

I believe the master plan does include a run from the top of Sundance to the bottom of Jolly Jug.

Hopefully they might consider kicking the speed of Sundance if it connects with another lift and divert beginner traffic to the other 3 lifts on that section of the mountain.

yea, sundance is not realy used as a beginner lift anymore, as it primarily serves the terrain park now. hopefully they can speed it up

The old two lifts were getting old. That’s why they were scrapped.

When it says “note the old lift line to the right” where is the lift line?

Where the run below the lift splits off into an upside down y, the trail on the right is the old lift line.

Why would they put loading gates on this lift when it doesn’t even have a midstation? Loading gates are sort of a gimmick, I guess, but it seems like a waste of money to put them on this lift.
