When this is replaced, it should be replaced with a six pack because of crowding. I think it should also be built with the capability to put bubbles on in the future.

Snowmass is making plans to do that to both this lift and Elk Camp.

Though I imagine that this year’s replacement of Coney Glade will also alleviate crowding at Alpine Springs, since the new lift will start down at the base of Adams Avenue (where Burlingame started), and thus those headed east to west will no longer have to use Alpine Springs. As I see it, the way to move west will be: you can reach the Big Burn area by riding Alpine Springs and then skiing down to Sheer Bliss, and ride Sheer Bliss up to Up 4 Pizza; or by taking Adams Avenue to Coney Glade, ride Coney Glade, ski down to the Ullrhof, and ride Big Burn. If headed to Sam’s Knob, take Adams Avenue across to Coney Glade, ride Coney Glade, then ski Lunchline over to Sam’s Knob.

bubbles idk if that’s a good idea but yes i heard the next version will be a 6 passenger like the current village express since 2005 and current big burn since 2002 to help with congestion

After the Cirque and Elk Camp upgrades are finished, this lift should be next. It gets some of the longest lines on the mountain and could use an upgrade to a HSS.

This didn’t post how I wanted it (I still can’t do this whole technology thing, apparently) but buried in this collection are half a dozen photos of the original Alpine Springs construction. Skip to page 27.
