Those at amusement parks tend to have electric motors driving the hydraulic pumps, while those at fairs and such tend to use portable diesel-powered hydraulic pumps.

as most sky rides it goes super slow so it’s not as exciting as riding a fixed grip around a bullwheel at a ski area!
