Amy’s – The Highlands, MI

This is one of three center pole quads built by Riblet at Boyne Highlands.
Counterweight for tensioning.
The light side stays higher at the bottom terminal to allow side loading from both sides.
View up from the bottom terminal.
Departing the return station.
Riding up the line.
Quad chair with center pole behind rather than in the middle of the chair.
Breakover towers.
Split tower.
Vault drive station.
Motor room.
Again the light side stays higher so riders can cross under after unloading.

Return terminal on a long tension carriage.

    This is the worlds first quad chair! Originally built in 1967.

      No it isn’t, the world’s first quad chair was built by Heron at Boyne Mountain. However, this is the first RIBLET quad chair.

          Removed in 2008 for the current Meadows quad. It was not reused anywhere.

    The world’s first quad was the Meadows lift at Boyne Mountain, installed in 1964 and removed in 2008. Replaced by a Doppelmayr FGQ. That lift at some point had some modifications done by Riblet. Some pictures of it can be found here:

    The Amy’s lift was Riblet’s first Quad chair and relocated from Walloon Hills in 1980.
