This was one of the first Yan lifts ever built in 1968.Top unload.Tri-leg return terminal.Lift line in a terrain park.View down the line.Lower terminal overview.Fixed drive.Lift overview.
If you look at this lift the Poma influence is super obvious. The return looks super similar to the modified floating bullwheels on 1960s Poma chairs, look at the bullwheel and bullwheel assembly. Also if you look at the drive it is nearly identical to that of early 1960s Poma ones.
It seems like the end of this lift is soon. The terrain park is completely gone (features at bottom of Bailey’s beach) and chair has not been running. Old red dog parts still right there.
I thought it was going to be removed as the terrain park was moved over to Gold Coast and chairs were starting to be removed but later that week I found out it is just going through a maintenance overhaul.
Are the lone towers with lights in the background of pic 1 yan or another company?

They might be leftovers from Links or the High Camp triple chairlift, which were removed in 2012 when the Big Blue Express was built.

They are just pipe- most likely fabricated and installed by Squaw Staff.

If I am not mistaken, this is a photo of the same lift before modifications: https://mountainscholar.org/bitstream/handle/11124/9385/R1141.jpg?sequence=1&isAllowed=y

Thats because Yan used to work for Poma. He probably took inspiration from the Poma terminals.

I thought they were going to replace this with the old Red Dog lift which has been laying on the ground nearby for a couple years now.

What do you mean by the end? If you mean it will be removed, i doubt it since there has been absolutely no mention of it anywhere
