Dosen’t the terminal paint remind you of Snowbird? Sure looks like it

It does! Snowbird’s terminals are dark blue. It does match their blue tramcar.

This lift got a new coat of paint the last time I was here and you can’t see the words that say “Blue Bird Express” on the bottom terminal.

The lift has been retrofitted with SkyTrac controls, new grips, new horns (I think), and a fresh coat of paint (dark blue terminals with grey towers except for T8-14).

New grips? I don’t know for certain, but I rather doubt Doppelmayr would tool up to make an entire run of an obsolete model. New jaws on the existing grips, perhaps?

They are still AK grips. They are just shiny.

There certainly is a market for them, even if it isn’t what it once was. For example, Cannon Mountain had to replace the grips on its 1999 Garaventa-CTEC, Peabody Express just this past season.

I knew about the Skytrac controls, but the new paint is a surprise. The grips were probably not changed but horns are a possibility.

This thing is screamin’ fast. The spreadsheet only says 1000 fpm, but it runs at like 1100-1150 sometimes when there are not too many kids using it.. When the chairs come in to the terminal, they swing a foot out.

West Mountain at Bretton Woods does that too. While riding Peabody Express at Cannon (link below), I discovered that uneven weight distribution when coming into the trumpets on the terminals causes this. I do not know if speed amplifies this or not.
