The PCMR six packs all have the missing window on the back of the drive terminal and redone terminal underside following a series of gearbox failures followed by rope evacs, one each per lift, in 2006 and 2007. Each time, they pulled the gearbox out of McConkey’s (the least important) and used it to repair Silverlode, Payday, and Bonanza in turn, while leaving McConkey’s out of service until new parts arrived. Payday was missing its top terminal underside for a year behind the back mast until they custom-made new ones to fit the replacement parts. PCMR replaced the gearboxes on all 4 six-packs, as well as King Con, in 2007, with Caterpillar ones instead of the original Kissling ones if I recall.

That was my recording I took BTW!šŸ˜ I noticed the difference prior to filming ā€œBananaā€ It literally felt maybe like the previous summer, PC embarrassed themselves when repainting the lettering on the bottom terminal back, and it is a bit off center right! It felt like the funniest mistake Iā€™ve ever seen!
