To the right of Lodge Chair, Farther down the parking lot. Stopped running in ’98 after it was damaged by a storm and sadly never repaired due to lack of funds.

Reason was more lack of snow as it was even lower than Lodge Chair. Damage was final straw. It was nice becuase you could park at the ubend and go to the lift instead of driving all the way up.

Notice how the chairs are incredibly tightly spaced together on the rest of the line?
From what it looks like, I’d assume they take them from the bottom and move them up so that people don’t try to play around and board them on the off period for the lift and it keeps the counterweight set normally. Might be wrong though

Chairs look normally spaced to me. If you look at the third-to-last photo you can see carriers removed and lying on the ground, presumably for annual NDT.

Murray-Lattas always seem to have closely spaced chairs.

WH2O- Not really. Chair spacing is a function of the owner/operator’s capacity and speed requirements and has nothing to do with the manufacturer. The sorta standard double chair spacing is 50′, which is derived from 1200 pph and a 500 FPM line speed. Old chair 4 at Baker, also a Murray-Latta, had a 1000 pph capacity but ran at 500 PFM, which meant the chairs were actually further apart than the 1200 pph Riblet next door.

This chairlift was relocated from PNE Playland in 1988. It was originally installed in 1970.
