Bunny Hutch – Whiteface, NY

The lone remaining Riblet at a mountain that once had a handful, Bunny Hutch services the Bear Den beginner base area.
Fixed return bullwheel at the top.
Lift line.
Upper part of the lift.
Lower lift line. These look like double towers from another lift that were widened.
View up from the base.
Riblet ’80s-style drive station.

Looks like a nice Riblet. Hoping it is relocated somewhere out West.

I don’t get the point of that. That lift looks like after a quick refurbish it could be good as new.

State of New York makes it nearly impossible for the ORDA resorts to sell on equipment as they have to get Albany’s approval and then auction the goods with a minimum number of bids (I think three). The resort has a Hall double in the boneyard that is slowly being buried for much the same reason.

At one point in the early 2000’s, this lift had its chairs painted yellow, pink, green, and blue. The towers might have also been painted but I’m not sure.
